1889 supports Farm Safety Day in Berlin

1889 Foundation is proud to once again sponsor Farm Safety Day, as we have for over 25 years! This year’s event will be held on Sat., May 6 from 9:30-2:30 pm  at the Berlin Community Grove (1394 Beulah Road, Berlin). Youth and adults will have the opportunity to learn safety steps that can prevent injuries in a farm environment, as well as emergency first aid, especially important in rural areas where first responders may be further away.

Sessions planned include:

  • Skid loader safety
  • PTO safety
  • Emergency first aid
  • Lawnmower safety
  • Chemical and poison safety
  • Rural road safety
  • Mock disaster drill

Each family will receive a first aid kit provided by 1889 Foundation.

Registration is $3 per child, or $5 per family. Lunch is included! For more information, contact Andrea Stoltzfus at 814-243-0593.
